Daniel's Bio
I am passionate about carp fishing, with over 30 years of experience beginning as an 11 year old Match and Carp fishing in the local area of my home in Hampshire.
During those 30 years, I have built a solid and successful reputation by fishing many diverse waters, in various conditions across multiple countries.
In my late teens, I read a book called 'Carp Fever' by Kevin Maddocks which first inspired me to visit France. In the late 80s and early 90s, I was regularly fishing in St Cassien and the River Lot.
By the end of the 90s, and around the turn of the millennium, I was trying my luck and Lake Orellana in the Extremadura region of Spain - arguably the last remaining untouched wild carp water in Europe.
I continued to enjoy competitive fishing and throughout the '00s, I fished many times in the World Carp Championships, on Lac De Madine in France, as well as Lake Bolsena in Tuscia, Italy. It was during that championship in Italy, where myself and Steve Howard were the top placing English pair, winning our section and finishing 12th overall in the World.
Some might say I have been lucky, I believe there is no such thing as luck, choice and quality of bait, experience & opportunity catch fish.
I’ve had the pleasure of field testing NX Baits for the past two years predominantly using the Crab & Cray as Scopex Peach, the results have been consistent and I have full confidence in the full range of NX Baits products.
